Baltimore Orioles Rochester Red Wings: Bobby Bonner December, 2011. Mr. Bonner shared silly stories of jokes played on and by Cal Ripken Jr. during their playing days like nailing cleats to the ceiling and a mitt to the centerfield scoreboard.
Wrestling Champ Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake October, 2011. Beefcake loved giving the reverse Mohawk haircut to opponents who did not work well with him in the ring.
Baltimore Orioles Rochester Red Wings: Joe Altobelli and Floyd Rayford August, 2011. These two humble men had wonderful stories to share about teammate Mark Flanagan who had just passed away.
Rochester Americans Chris Taylor May, 2011. All proceeds were donated to the family of Amerks' great Craig Charron. Mr. Taylor kept me captivated with stories from playing in Germany to his NHL days with the Islanders, Bruins and Sabres. One fan brought a game-used stick that Mr. Taylor gave her when she was ten years old sitting in the stands.
AFL Buffalo Bills Ernie Warlick, Sullivan "Pete" Mills and Will Fowler March, 2011. This was a thrill to have three AFL players together. They drove through some slippery roads for this signing not to disappoint Bills' fans.
NFL Buffalo Bills Chris Williams and Will Grant February, 2011. Mr. Grant told me stories that I can never repeat or he will hurt me and Mr. Williams met local family at the show and now his nephew is a card collector.
Bowling Hall of Famer Millie Ignizio January, 2011. Ms. Ignizio was the first women on tour to bowl a perfect "300" game! A legend in the United States from Rochester, New York.
Wrestling Champion / NCAA SU college star Dick Beyer / The Destroyer / Doctor X December, 2010. Mr. Beyer schooled the promoter and fans alike with some basic Japanese lingo such us "Destroyer ichiban" which means he is number one. Some great stories from football at Syracuse football to present day movies about Ernie Davis - what a treat for Rochester fans.
World Series Champs Joe Altobelli (1983 Baltimore Orioles), Johnny Antonelli (1954 NY Giants) November, 2010. These two Rochester icons went extra innings to stay and sign for fans from all over the country. All proceeds went to the Wilmot Cancer Center.
Buffalo Bills Adam Lingner August, 2010. Mr. Lingner had a lot of fun sharing Super Bowl stories with fans - a GREAT interview since he snapped the ball to Frank Reich who held it for Scott Norwood during Super Bowl XXV (sad times for us all).
Buffalo Bills Charles Ferguson & Hilton Crawford June, 2010. These two guests shared suggestions for the present day Bills - future coaches?
Buffalo Bills Lou Piccone May, 2010. "Sweet" Lou was a great guest who shared many stories about his NFL days playing an incredible ELEVEN positions on the field.
Figure Champion Shalom Singer April, 2010. Shalom was the WNBF Figure Champion back in 2009. This autograph session was a brand new venture for both Ms. Singer and CollectorFest Monthly that turned out to be truly a success. Fans had tons of questions about this unique competition.
Buffalo Bills Marlo Perry & Marlon Kerner March, 2010. Two of the best dressed men from Buffalo came in and signed my lithographs simultaneously as fans greeted two of the most personal Buffalo Bills to date.
Buffalo Bills Mark Brammer February, 2010. Mr. Brammer had a great locker room story about how excited Phil Villapiano was to hear that his team had just traded for Bob Chandler - until Villapiano found out that the trade was for himself.
Buffalo Bills Ed Rutkowski and Harry Jacobs November, 2009. These two were incredibly popular. After I introduced this pair of Bills to the fans, they introduced each other again with genuine warmth and admiration. Rutkowski shared how politics was harder than football and Jacobs taught every young football fan the proper technique when meeting somebody new with a firm handshake and eye contact. They were both a lot of fun.
TV Wrestling Champs Mickey Foley Jr, Mick Foley and Domenic DeNucci September, 2009. Mick Foley not only was humbled to sign with his mentor DeNucci, but he suprised all who attended when he walked in with Mickey Jr. who stole the show when he performed "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" by flapping his arm with his hand under his armpit. GREAT stories were told by both brawlers about great careers.
Buffalo Bills Booker Edgerson and Al Bemiller August, 2009. Two AFL All-Stars battled stories about the 1960s championship seasons - was it the offense or the defense? It was fun banter between these two.
Buffalo Bills Mark Kelso and Ken Jones June, 2009. Two great guys shared stories about everything from coaching high school football, the Bills future with T. Owens, pulling Walter Payton's face mask to hunting turkey.
TV Wrestling Champs Johnny Powers and Ox Baker April, 2009. These two SUPERSTARS spent all afternoon sharing exciting stories about wrestling during the 1960's/1970's. These two champs were real "shooters" (the real deal) way ahead of their time.
Buffalo Bills Jeff Nixon and David White February, 2009. These two gentlemen spent an afternoon with CollectorFest Monthly patrons on Super Bowl Sunday signing autographs and telling stories about their playing days.
Wrestling Champ "Handsome" Johnny Barend (The Rochester Flash) October, 2008. He spent the afternoon thrilling his fans with stories about his life as a wrestler. The 1965 Champion went so far as to challenge the entire room to a push-up competition; no one was brave enough to step up! It is clear that at 75 years old Mr. Barend is still a force to be reckoned with!!
Hall of Famer and NBA "Top 50" Great Dolph Schayes. May, 2006. Mr. Schayes entertained the crowd all afternoon. His best story was holding Wilt Chamberlin to 51 points (in the first half).
Boxing champion Carmen Basilio. November, 2005. Carmen kept the crowd on its toes and signed hundreds of boxing gloves and photos.
New York Giants World Series Champ Johnny Antonelli. November, 2006. Mr. Antonelli brought in fans from both coasts for this event. All money collected went to the Wilmot Cancer Center.
Boston Red Sox star George "Boomer" Scott. October, 2005. The 1975 Amercian League Home Run king delighted fans for the first time in Western New York.
WWE's Jerry "the King" Lawler. December, 2004. Jerry flew to Rochester for an afternoon of signing and wrestling fun.
Major League Baseball pitcher Tim Redding. November and December, 2003. Tim Redding helped benefit MCC baseball by signing two months in a row.
Rochester Red Wings. May, 2004. Jesse Crain and Jason Kubel joined their teammates Jason Bartlett and Joe Beimel signing autographs and talking to fans.
NHL Buffalo Sabres. Summer, 2006. Sean McMorrow returned with Rochester Amerks teammate Chris Thorburn to continue supporting the Wilmot Cancer Center. Both have had playing time with the Sabres.
AHL Rochester Americans. Summer, 2006 and 2004. Amerks penalty leader and right winger Sean McMorrow spent a couple of afternoons helping to benefit the Wilmot Cancer Center by signing for fans.
Rochester Rhinos. November, 2004. The Rhinos soccer team thrilled kids and adults alike.
Rochester Knighthawks. Summer, 2004. The Knighthawks lacrosse team made summer extra-special for fans.
Rochester Rattlers. Summer, 2004. Pat Dutton and Brent Rothfuss made CollectorFest Monthly special by signing throughout the afternoon.
